The whimsical illustrations of Francesco Gallé

Francesco’s illustrations bring you back to a time of old french posters,
where a line can express movement and feeling in one simple stroke.

He is Toronto’s hidden gem and is being polished to shine at the
Bata Shoe Museum under the very creative and European sensitive eye of
Emanuele Lepri Director of the Bata Shoe Museum.

Francesco was commissioned to illustrate 12 special edition cards which
have won him the prestigious Applied Arts Award in 2009 for illustration,
making it his second consecutive win along with 2008 for his “Italian icon Portraits”.

Gallé will be showing his original illustrations along with presenting the
Bata family with a new portrait of the late Mr. Thomas j. Bata
