Francesco Galle is an established painter in Toronto and Italy.

 

He was born in southern Italy in 1966 and like many Italians made
his way over the ocean with his family in 1972 at the age of six.

 

Gallé has received several commissions from The Bata Shoe Museum,
Nuremberg International Chamber Music Festival and Publishers such
as Random House, as well as being the sole illustrator in the award-
winning book “Wanda’s Pies in the sky”. Francesco has also won the
Certosa award in recognition of his art in the Italian-Canadian
community and the Applied arts award for his “Italian Icons” series in
2008 and for his Bata Shoe Museum special edition cards in 2009.

 

His work has been featured internationally from New York to Germany
and Italy. He created several wine labels for Viticcio, Greppi and
Fattoria La Loggia Wineries in the Chianti Region of Tuscany.
He is represented in private collections throughout Canada, Italy,
Germany and England.
